In the past few years, Range Estimating reticle has begun to be recognized as a very useful tool by hunters and shooters around the world. With some patient learning and practices, this tool can enhance shooting accuracy and performance in ways not imagined before. Staying ahead of the trend, Leapers offers the most unique Range Estimating reticle, TRE, to our customers and continue to develop more for the future.

9 dots:

Regular mil-dot reticle found on the market usually has 4 dots on each direction of the cross hair, giving you 9 different aiming points for either windage or elevation. If you count the 2 inner tips of the opposite duplex cross hairs, you get 11 aiming points. Leapers’s own 36 Mil-Dot Reticle (TRE) has 9 dots on each direction of the cross hair, giving you 19 aiming points or 21 including the inner tips of the duplex cross hairs.

4 dots:

This is the regular mil-dot reticle with 4 dots on each direction of the cross hair, giving you 9 different aiming points for either windage or elevation. If you count the 2 inner tips of the opposite duplex cross hairs, you get 11 aiming points.

Mil-Dot Range Estimating:

Range estimating requires common knowledge/experience about your target's actual width or height.
Set your scope at 10X or the proper power, depending on the scope. View the target through the scope. Place the center of the dot against one edge of the target and measure to the opposite edge of the target.

Once the target has been measured in mils, depending on the scope model, a formula is available to estimate the distance of the target.
Each scope will come with a pre-calculated mil-dot table of most used distance estimates to aid the user.

Mil-Dot Range Estimating Example:

Height or Width of Target in Meters x 1,000		Magnification
	x		= Range in Meters (1 M = 1.0936 Yards)
Height or Width of Target in Mils		10

Hence, (1.016 x 1,000/9) X (9/10 ) = 101.6 meters (110 yds). Armed with this knowledge, you can compensate for the bullet’s drop accordingly and make “great things happen”!

Lifetime warranty* for AccuShot Series, UTG Series, 5th Gen Series and Golden Image Series scopes.
(*2 year warranty for Dot Scopes/Sights.)

Warranty against material or workmanship defects applies based on the following conditions -

Scope was purchased new. Evidence of purchase is required for warranty service.

Scope was not disassembled, parts/screws not removed or loosened, and the scope was not tampered with in any way. Any evidence of such interference will void the warranty.

Scope has not been abused, maliciously damaged or treated in a manner not in keeping with the purpose it was designed for.

scope model, serial number, invoice showing seller and date of purchase, reason for return, shipping address (no P.O. Box).

Send the product in its original packaging and the above information with RA# to Leapers. A warranty processing fee will be required. The warranty request will be processed within 1 week upon receipt.

“The rifle scope that I got from you for T & E . John first let me say that the test was conducted in two different schools over seven day of continuous shooting in cold than humid down pours and the scope was exposed not only to the change in weather but also mud, sand, and gravel. This scope did not once fog up and kept its clarity during all of the climate changes, also I might add the some of the shooter using other optics had malfunctions with fogging up due to the rain. Secondly all the turrets remained true and the side focus was very workable even during stress firing drills at different yardage. The mounting system (rings) that come with the scope help up . I worried about the Max Strength Rings when I first saw the twist locks, but after the first Twenty or so rounds all my doubts were gone. I fired over approximately 350 rounds and not once did the mounting system fail. Given the weather conditions along with the range conditions, this scope performed flawlessly and I would and am highly recommending this scope and mounting system to all professional personal .
