Team Leapers at 2026 CMP Eastern Games

CMP Eastern Games Results

Team Leapers took home over 11 first place victories at the 2026 CMP Eastern Games Regional Championship in Camp Butner, North Carolina.

Nick Till kicked things off with the Unlimited Garand Match win - old school, with irons. His friend Ryan VanderPoppen was not to be outmatched, winning the Unlimited Modern Military match with his Integrix Service Rifle Scope. Shout out to Ryan - congratulations!

It was Roy Mitchell's first time shooting at Camp Butner, and he was undeterred. He destroyed the competition in Mid-Range at 600 yards with a 598-37X, setting a new CMP Eastern Games record. Roy continued to be untouchable throughout the week in Long-Range Match Rifle, winning Day 1, Day 2, and taking the overall Match Rifle win. Roy was using his Integrix iX6 4.5-27X56 long range scope, helping us fine-tune testing in the field.

Team Leapers (Nick, Roy, and Conrad Young shooting with Eli Edwards) won the High Civilian Team and 4th Overall in the Service Rifle Team Match. Hats off to Team Leapers as well as the Army Marksmanship Unit, shooting well and giving us a run for our money!

Several competitors from Team Leapers as well as our customers placed well with their Integrix Service Rifle Scopes throughout the week - cheers to Trace Weisenburger! In Day 1 of the 2400 Aggregate, Civilian Service Rifle, Trace took 2nd, with Nick in 3rd and Conrad in 4th. Day 2, Nick placed 2nd and Trace took 5th.

Day 3 of the 2400 Aggregate Civilian Service Rifle category, Nick Till placed 1st, Trace 3rd, and Conrad 5th, all using their Integrix SRS.

Conrad Young closed out the week with the bang, winning High Civilian and 4th Overall with a 497-29X in the EIC Service Rifle Match.

Team Leapers and all the competitors at Eastern were put through the ringer that week, with everything from extreme sun and wind to heavy downpours of rain. Read on to hear more about how they fared shooting in tough conditions.

Visibility in the Rain

Thursday, May 7 was the start of the individual matches held over the course of 3 days to compose the 2400 Aggregate. It rained basically through the entire match.

Tough conditions are the best place to display a shooter's skill - as well as the quality of their equipment. James Fox, another shooter on Team Leapers, particularly likes the challenge tricky wind provides when shooting at Camp Perry. It's an opportunity to prove your skill and gain an edge on your opponent in a sport where the average skill keeps growing.

In the case of the Eastern Games, the biggest challenge was the rain. Conditions dropped competitor scores that Thursday. We could hear competitors struggling on the line: "Man it looks terrible through my scope. I'm losing my dot and the target is really washed out!"

This was where Integrix really shone, and it was particularly gratifying hearing the feedback from our team using our Integrix Service Rifle scope. "My reticle and target look just fine," Roy said.

Later he shared more about his experience with our development team. "Image quality was great for the conditions. I had 100 percent confidence I would not have an issue with the scope in bad conditions.

"I was using a new upper that has a newer barrel and that was giving me some off call shots in the individual matches contributing to lower SR scores so I will be changing uppers again to get the flyers sorted out. It was fun working with Nick some to help him refine his position and get his scope adjusted for him on his match rifle."

Now, this writer would never wish our competitors to get soaked and look like drowned rats, but... we couldn't ask for a better test for Integrix's image quality! That's where German Schott glass and 92% light transmission make a difference. Cut through overcast, rainy, blurry conditions, and allow the shooter to focus on his marksmanship. Results don't lie!
