OPTICS ASSEMBLER

This is an Outstanding opportunity for candidate to learn multiple disciplines as an Optics Assembler with a top Optics company.  Optics Assembler will clean and inspect optical components and mounts and assemble optical lenses with integrated mechanical housing and parts, perform sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity is required.  Company will provide supporting training and mentoring program to each new hire to inspect, measure, assemble and ensure finished product meets all specifications. Assemblers must follow manufacturing operation instructions and comply with safety rules, company shop floor SOP’s and quality disciplines.

  • Assemble Made in USA Dot Sights and Optics Products.
  • Work in a clean room environment following all cleanliness protocols.
  • Use common hand tools, power tools, and operate precision instruments.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Read, interpret, and follow instructions and diagrams to accurately assemble components and products.
  • Perform visual inspection, cleaning and counting, alignment, calibration, and assembly per instructions.
  • Perform inspection and verify tolerance by measuring individual parts, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies for disciplined quality control.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies and suggest reliable professional solutions to conform with quality requirements.
  • Familiar with computer for daily productivity data entry into ERP systems and complete quality paperwork.
  • Perform daily and weekly equipment maintenance per SOP’s and Supervisor guidance.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work environment by complying with disciplined procedures, and regulations.
  • Capable of lifting box of raw material up to 30lbs (couple times a day).
  • Ability to stand, bend and reach for 8-10 hour shift.
  • Willingness to learn other skills, processes and perform non-optics assembly tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The in-house sales rep will be responsible for developing new accounts, expanding existing accounts, promoting and selling our products to target clients and territories, and meeting the sales performance objectives set by Sales Management.

  • Accountable for sales performance of assigned clients and ensure healthy growth of revenue.
  • Proficient in conducting intelligent analysis of customers unique business model, product portfolio and selling channels and techniques to establish overall sales and marketing plans for business development.
  • Proactively and frequently reach out to clients to establish rapport and strengthen relationships with detail Before, During and After checklist for review and continuous follow up.
  • Assess and well document customer needs to plan for product addition and expansion and to provide timely fulfillment and best possible support for business development and expansion.
  • Identify prospects utilizing creative lead generating techniques; proactively reach out to develop new leads; explain Leapers UTG product offerings and make appropriate product recommendations to establish new customers.
  • Manage the execution of sales plans, promotions and focused tactical plans for assigned sales regions, and generate accurate sales performance and forecast reports for senior management review.
  • Responsible for supporting customers in your portfolio and fulfilling their orders; identify product gaps and opportunities and implement plans to introduce new products and expand product placement.
  • Investigate and resolve customer service cases for positive conclusions.
  • Attend national, international, and regional trade shows as assigned to promote company brands and products and to support all sales activities. These shows include, but are not limited to, ATA, SHOT, NBS, and IWA.

CNC OPERATOR

This position is responsible for making high precision CNC machine and polymer injection parts.  The operator will run multiple machines and is responsible for the loading, unloading, measuring, and inspecting finished machine parts. Machine Operators must follow manufacturing operation instructions and comply with safety rules, company shop floor SOP’s and quality disciplines.

  • Good math skills with accurate metal arithmetic
  • Punctual and apply shop floor disciplines; maintain safe and clean environment
  • Load and Unload CNC machine parts (light weight, less than 1lbs each material)
  • Visual inspection and utilize provided measurement tools to inspect finished parts
  • Deburr and clean finished parts
  • Maintain focus with detail attentions to manufacturing operation instructions
  • Capable of running more than one machine/production process at a time
  • Organize work environment before/during/after operations, keep machine/fixture/table clean
  • Familiar with computer for daily productivity data entry into ERP systems

MECHANICAL PRODUCT ASSEMBLER

This position is responsible for inspecting finished parts, perform modular sub-assemblies, fitting and final assembly of finished product.  Company will provide supporting training and mentoring program to each new hire to inspect, measure, assemble and ensure finished product meets all specifications. Assemblers must follow manufacturing operation instructions and comply with safety rules, company shop floor SOP’s and quality disciplines.

  • Assemble mechanical component parts for Made in USA products.
  • Read, interpret, and follow SOP’s, specifications, diagrams, bill of materials and instructions to accurately assemble components and products.
  • Conduct visual inspection, cleaning and counting, prepare modular sub-assemblies and assemble all related parts per SOP’s for final packing.
  • Use common hand tools to include files, chisels, hones, scrapers, and taps,
  • Use machine tools to include drill press, mill, sanders, polisher, and tumbler.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components and follow inspection procedures daily for disciplined quality control.
  • Identify and report assembly issues and suggest reliable professional solutions to conform with quality requirements for change managements and process improvements.
  • Familiar with computer for daily productivity data entry into ERP systems and complete quality paperwork.
  • Perform daily and weekly equipment maintenance per SOP’s and Supervisor guidance
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work environment by complying with disciplined procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
  • Ensures team members wear and maintain personal protective equipment.

Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer is responsible for research and development of new shooting and hunting related products. This position will work with a cross-functional team from sales and marketing, product lifecycle management, supply chain and manufacturing to develop and document comprehensive technical specifications, and provide engineering details through design, prototype, and production for both new product development and existing product enhancement.

  • Working knowledge of and experience with mechanical designs for firearm accessories.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks software with Solid Modeling, Assemblies, Exploded Views, Bill of Materials, Templates, Layers, Configurations, and Drawings.
  • Familiar with failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA), and stress/fatigue analysis.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with materials, tools, fixtures, precision gauges, manufacturing processes and machining operations, and finishes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, create, and modify mechanical drawings, models, assemblies, and bill of materials.
  • Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing using GD&T best practices (ASME Y14.5).
  • Capable of operating precision measuring devices needed for design activities.
  • Understand the Engineering Change (EC) process for updating models, assemblies, and drawings for new and existing products.
  • Work with manufacturing to review and address design issues as well as implement cost reduction ideas.
  • Work with internal and external subject matter experts to develop test plans and conduct lifecycle testing for product validations and present detailed analysis of testing results and recommend revisions to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Accountable for reach outing to assigned major clients to establish rapport and strengthen relationships; assess and invite clients’ requirements early on and align product developments to provide best possible support for business development and expansion.
  • Attend national, international, and regional trade shows as assigned to promote company brands and products and support all sales activities. These shows include, but are not limited to, ATA, SHOT, NBS, and IWA.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; three or more years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Experienced in hunting, shooting and outdoor activities with working knowledge and experiences in optics, firearm accessories and different firearm operations.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling, preferably using SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in GD&T & creation of detail/assembly product drawings.
  • Disciplined analytical thinking from engineering and manufacturing perspective.
